This is the monthly newsletter from Astrodienst with a short overview of the current quality of time and news from our website www.astro.com.
The February newsletter describes a subtle quality of time in the first days of the month, but also moodiness and intractable conflicts that could now arise. The middle of the month brings surprising news and nervousness. Expect deep feelings and a lot of water at the end of February.
THE CURRENT QUALITY OF TIME
On the first of the month, Venus and Neptune are in exact conjunction in Pisces, close to the lunar node. With the Moon and Saturn also in Pisces, in a loose trine to retrograde Mars in Cancer, some may feel somewhat lost and fragile. Others may feel their hearts overflowing with longing. However, the refined time quality also invites us to be creative, especially on February 3, when Aquarius Mercury trines Jupiter in Gemini. It is a good time to formulate new ideas, make up stories, or try something completely unfamiliar.
On February 4, Venus enters Aries. Retrograde Mars in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries. This square lasts unusually long because Mars is already moving very slowly as it returns to direct motion at the end of the month. The typical Aries themes of awakening, decisiveness, and willingness to fight are now in stark contrast to the somewhat hesitant and defensive Mars in Cancer.
Mars in Cancer also indicates moodiness and a lack of self-control. Resolve any possible arguments carefully and avoid concealing your insecurities and feelings of being overwhelmed. Narcissistic slights, repressed emotions, and fears can cause intractable conflicts during this time, which can usually only be resolved by recognizing and dealing with the underlying psychological injuries. It is a good time to look at the parts of ourselves that we have devalued.
On February 4, Jupiter ends its retrograde. It brings a fresh breeze into the communication channels and enables a lively exchange with others. This sense of ease gains support when the Sun in Aquarius conjoins Mercury on February 9, already in loose tension with Uranus. The square of Mercury and Uranus will be exact on the 10th and that of the Sun and Uranus on the 11th. During this time, you can expect surprising news and sudden events that may also make it necessary to adjust previous rules of the game.
On February 12, there is a Full Moon in Leo. The Sun, Moon, and Uranus form a T-square, and retrograde Mars in Cancer is still in tension with Chiron and trine Saturn. There is a crackling tension in the air; nerves are on edge here and there. Some people may feel somewhat thin-skinned, and the nervousness and impatience of this time could overwhelm them. Find an outlet to channel your energy, whether it is through sports or physically demanding work. This is a favorable time for all kinds of creative activity. On February 14, Mercury enters sensitive Pisces, followed by the Sun on the 18th. The tension of the last few days can now be released, sometimes with strong emotions.
On February 20, Mercury and Jupiter form a square. Mercury reaches the trine to Mars in Cancer on the 23rd, which ends its retrograde motion a day later. On February 25, Mercury forms a conjunction with Saturn in Pisces and a loose trine to Mars. Some suffering could now come to light, combined with feelings of powerlessness. During the time of the Pisces New Moon on the 28th, which is square Jupiter, we can expect even more water, in the concrete and figurative sense. Embrace your feelings, even the painful ones. Practice compassion, and don't forget that you can and must also take action during this time.
THE PERSONAL QUALITY OF TIME
The quality of time in February tells of two fundamentally different currents. The strong emphasis on the water signs, especially Pisces, brings us into contact with deep feelings. However, the air signs are also emphasized, especially Aquarius and Gemini. We can now examine emotions and psychological issues with greater distance and objectivity. Even if it is not always easy to reconcile feelings and intellect, this is still an excellent opportunity for self-exploration.
