The October newsletter is not only about the intensity of the two eclipses but also about creative power, the need to resolve conflicts together, and opportunities for fortune seekers.
THE CURRENT QUALITY OF TIME
At the beginning of the month, Mercury is at the center of astrological events. On October 2, it forms an opposition to Neptune in Pisces from the final degrees of Virgo and a trine to Pluto in Capricorn before entering Libra on October 5. These days highly stimulate visions and imagination. It is an excellent time for creative activities and active dreaming, whereas it might occasionally be somewhat challenging to assess reality correctly.
Mars in Libra conjoins the South Node of the Moon and moves into tension with Pluto in the following days (exact on October 9). Some can now unleash enormous power and accomplish great things.
Venus enters the sign of Virgo on October 9 and opposes Saturn one day later. You can now view the world soberly and do what needs doing. The Libra Sun opposite Chiron in Aries on October 11 indicates the need to resolve conflicts diplomatically. Pluto ends its retrograde phase on the same day.
Mars enters Scorpio on October 12 and reaches a trine to Saturn in Pisces a day later. The quality of time now takes on a sense of urgency, further enhanced by the Libra New Moon with a Solar Eclipse on October 14. There seems to be a lot of willpower and courage.
However, because the New Moon and Eclipse oppose Chiron, there is a certain brittleness at the same time, and old wounds may start to hurt again. Stand by your needs and take the necessary steps to improve the situation, as time favors such endeavors, notably when undertaken together. Mercury is also opposite Chiron, helping to talk about challenging issues.
The following days are tense and could offer many an exciting experience when the Sun and Mercury square Pluto on October 21. Virgo-Venus reaches a trine to Jupiter in Taurus on the 22nd, and Mercury enters Scorpio, trining Saturn, which is retrograde at the first degree of Pisces.
During this time, fortune seekers could find a piece of their coveted treasure, financial or spiritual. On October 23, the Sun enters Scorpio, forming a trine to Saturn. Assign a place in your life to whatever you have gained in the last few days directly.
October 28 is a Full Moon, joined by a Lunar Eclipse. The Moon is in earthy Taurus with Jupiter and Uranus, and the Sun is in watery Scorpio with Mars and Mercury. Except for Chiron, all planets are in an earth or water element during this time. Practical rationality and emotionality oppose each other. At best, they connect in a fertile way. However, some may find the abundance of water with its powerful emotions overwhelming.
Mercury reaches the conjunction with Mars on the 29th, and Venus in Virgo trines Uranus on the 31st. Take time to reflect on what has happened in the past few days, even more so if it has caused upheaval in relationships. Talk things over, as there is a real chance for a fresh start.
THE PERSONAL QUALITY OF TIME
The two eclipses shape the quality of time this month. The focus is primarily on the zodiac signs Libra, Aries, Scorpio, and Taurus. However, the encounters of the transiting planets with the planets in the natal chart are usually more palpable in daily life than the mundane happenings and the general quality of time.
